Espresso Outlet and Kaleido Roasters USA is proud to present the Kaleido M1 LITE Coffee Roaster.  Everyone asked and we listened.   The M1 has been an extremely popular home coffee roaster, but the price seemed a bit out of reach for many.   Looking for opportunities to get the best possible product at the best possible price, the M1 LITE was formed. 

The M1 LITE has all the same roasting capabilities as the M1, but at a more affordable pricetag.  The M1 LITE works great with Artisan via Bluetooth or USB (note Artisan has issues with Macbook Air, this is an Artisan bug, not related to Kaleido).  It uses the same induction air system (Sealed) as previous version.

What has Changed?

• The M1 LITE is more or less the same tried and true M1 with simplified body panel design
• No carry candle
• No light for the bean trier
• Non-removable power cord
• No power switch
• The bean cooling tray requires minimal assembly, see video below.   
• The M1 LITE only comes in what is the equivalent of the M1 Pro version.  The previous version of the M1 has been discontinued.

The M1 LITE is soon to be our most popular machine for the home roaster, and for good reason. With the ability to roast up to 200g and have full control over every aspect of the roast, you can roast professional-quality coffee right at home.

The M1 LITE is compatible with the Artisan platform. Log and control your roast in real-time with the open-sourced FREE platform. Please note that the M1 LITE is not compatible with the Kaleido proprietary tablet, so you need to provide your own device to run Artisan.  We recommend a Windows laptop.  (Note Chromebooks are not windows based)

Q&A:

• Q: Will the Kaleido Proprietary tablet work with this roaster?
• A: It will not, the M1 LITE is controlled by Artisan Scope roasting software.

• Q: Can I perform back to back roasts?
• A: Yes, all of Kaleido roasters are capable of performing back to back roasts without cooling down the roaster. 

• Q: How many roasts per hour can I do?
• A: We say in general 4-5 roasts per hour depending upon roast time and how efficient you are.

• Q: Will the M1 LITE be offered in other colors?
• A: At this time, we only plan to offerer in black.

• Q: Will the M1 LITE work with HiBean App?
• A: While it is not supported by Kaleido or Espresso Outlet, it does appear to be mostly functional when using an Android tablet.  It is not compatible with iOS.
