M1 Smoke Fan

Based on the operating principle of the M1 Lite smoke exhaust fan described above, if the fan speed is too low — below 40% — it cannot generate sufficient air jet force, resulting in low vacuum pressure and poor exhaust performance. This also affects the stability of the smoke exhaust fan.

Our recommendation is to set the exhaust fan to 50% or higher. The difference between 20% and 50% is very small (in fact, we have repeatedly tested new fans in the lab and found that there is a difference between 20% and 50%, but it is extremely subtle). When the set value is above 50%, the higher the setting, the greater the change. Since we use a two-wire fan on the M1 Lite, the relationship between the actual fan speed and the set value is non-linear.
